DZ Deathrays @ Metro Theatre 18/10/19

Performing an all-ages show at the Metro Theatre, Australia’s premier rock band was accompanied by non-other than Sydney’s own Polish Club, fellow Brisbane punk band VOIID and Newtown grassroots act The Buoys.

EP Review: Sly Withers – Gravis

New from the Perth punk scene is Sly Withers, a four-piece consisting of dual frontmen Sam and Jono, bass-player Shea and drummer Joel. Drawing influences from the American Midwest emo/Philly punk/indie rock scene, the group aims to use Sly Withers as a platform to challenge standards and behaviours in the punk world.

One of my favourite things about the Hip Hop scene in Australia is the idea of inclusion and support. The bands scene is great but it is every person for themselves. Everyone wants to be Kevin Parker. Everyone wants to play Glastonbury.

MØ and Duckwrth @ Metro Theatre May 8

Los Angeles-based singer, rapper and graphic designer, Jared Lee AKA Duckwrth, opened the stage for Danish singer and electronic artist MØ immediately prior to the release of his EP The Falling Man, the first since his 2017 release An XXTRA UUGLY Mixtape. Duckwrth treated the audience an exclusive taste of his smooth new song Nobody Falls, featuring Kiana Ledé, Terrace Martin and Medasin.
