Fresh: Mary’s CQ

Since February this year we’ve had an ear to the ground to hear the rumblings beneath Macquarie Place. The latest venture for those who breathed new life into the Lansdowne and the Unicorn takes Newtown’s favourite burgers and chicken to the heart of the CBD and adds a wholly vegan redux of the entire menu.

Fresh: Sash

Sash Japanese is latest venue to make the trip up the Hume Highway and so far it’s made that journey more gracefully than most other convoys. Originating in Melbourne, Sash has been a hit in Sydney since day one, serving up flavours both brazen and familiar.

Fresh: Baraki

Inspired by the backstreet bars of old Athens, a new corner to pull up a stool and have a chat over shots of ouzo and gin cocktails has found its way to Sydney’s Alpha. Part of one of the city’s oldest institutions for Greek dining and imbibing, Baraki is tiny yet goes well beyond to satisfy all day drinking and snacking.
