Next Saturday, April 7, the Makers and Shakers Market will return to Marrickville for its first of two 2018 appearances.
Priding themselves on their largely handmade and locally produced goods, the Makers and Shakers Market are back for their third year at Marrickville Town Hall, where visitors can expect a wide range of products on sale.
If you’re wanting to jazz up your place, handmade homewares will be readily available. Get swept away by the sweet aromas of candles by Hunter Candles, and soaps and lotions by Archon Designs. Pick up some funky, unique tableware from stalls like rob fuller ceramics or Karin Dovel Ceramics; and fun cushions from bob window. Liven up your walls with some artwork by Maria Harding or Eggpicnic, or add a touch of greenery with pot plants from Tiny Paradise or wajacreations.
If your closet is due for an update, stalls like the Raison did it and High Tea with Mrs Woo will be providing clothes. Accessories will also be ready to purchase, from bags by Indigo Thread; to quirky jewellery courtesy of Molly Coombs Marr, Antipastal, and more.
You certainly won’t go hungry, either – the market will be hawking a great selection of sweet and savoury gourmet goods. Tea and coffee drinkers can both rejoice, as there’ll be specialty ranges of both available. Get your hipster hit with some Kombucha from Mailer McGuire, or satisfy those sweet tooth cravings with deluxe donuts by Short Stop and Nutie Donuts. Best of all, the Market will cater for all, with gluten-free, vego and vegan options all available.
Makers and Shakers is only a twice-a-year event, so get around it! It’ll be hitting up Marrickville Town Hall from 10am-3pm, with a $2 entry fee. For the full list of stores, click here: http://themakersandshakers.com/sydney-april-2018/
