From the Australian theatre group, Company of Rogues, returns the Bedlam Cabaret for a special Mardi Gras show at the Red Rattler Theatre on Wednesday 28th February. A reflexive show highlighting the best emerging and established artists from all different disciplines, the Mardi Gras rainbow-flavoured edition of the show will be a frenzy of multi-genre, queer themed entertainment, blurring the lines between drag, circus, burlesque, comedy and performance art.
Hosted by the infamous MC James ‘Breko’ Brechney, Bedlam Cabaret’s queer night will host 9 premier performers from around the world in a night of pure craziness. Curated by Robbi James and artistically directed by Goldele Rayment, this show is the first in a series of themed Bedlam Cabaret shows that will dazzle audiences throughout 2018.
Bedlam Cabaret’s line up is filled with industry stars and emerging talents. Of notable mention is Ben Noir; one of Australia’s most successful burlesque artists. An international sensation performing in festivals in Paris, Montreal, London and Geneva, Noir will bring all the drama and sensation of burlesque to the Red Rattler stage.
Other acts joining Noir on stage include Marlena Dali; Australia’s 2nd best David Bowie impersonator that will keep people laughing and squirming in their seat as Dali makes use of their non-existent gag reflex. Kael Murray will also grace the stage with her unique fusion of theatre, belly dance and burlesque.
