Sip: Wine du Jour
Wine Du Jour‘s first event is on Saturday, December 2, with a focus on rose and skin-contact wine. By Bringing together producers from around Australia, the festival hops to educate people on their special varietals. Run by Glen Cassidy of Cake Wines and Sydney wine writer/sommelier Samantha Payne, the festival will bring over 30 winemakers to bring up your knowledge of these up and coming varieties. A big, white Shipping container taking space in The Rocks is home to a most unsettling installation. The lights go out, your headphones go on and together you go through a sensory psychology experience. Artists David Rosenbery and Glen Neath have described it as disorienting and deeply unsettling, so not for the claustrophobic or easily frightned. For more check out:

Sydney Dance Company and Carriageworks present a new generation of Australia’s best choreographers in their “New Breed Initiative. The program features four performances, created by Petros Trelis , co-creators Cass Mortimer–Eipper and Nelson Earl, Mlanie Lane and Tyrone Robinson. New Breed provides a platform for choreographer to test the waters and experiment with dance into unorthodoxy. New Breed will run until the 9th of December.
