With the expert guidance of Keith Klein, co-owner of Grace & Taylor and former head barista at Devon Group, we have developed a guide for coffee brewed with the V60 method. You will need
- V60 funnel
- V60 filter papers
- Scale and timer
- 15 grams of ground coffee
Place the funnel on top of the cup and unfold the filter paper, placing it in the funnel.
Thoroughly rinse the filter paper with boiling water and then discard the water.
Place 15 grams of coffee in the V60 brewer and pour in 50 grams of water to immerse the grinds. Start the timer. Stir the coffee/water slurry well to fully saturate the grinds.
After 30 seconds pour 100 grams of water in a spiral motion from the centre outwards.
At one minute and 30 seconds pour another 100 grams of water as before.
Total brew time should be between two and a half and three minutes.
