Funkadelic & Soul Clap Animate the Burden of Oil in “In Da Kar”

Funkadelic and Boston production duo Soul Clap have released the music video for “In Da Kar.” As groovy as the song itself, things begin swimmingly for the pair, unaware that what they’re about to do will set off – or has been a result of – a chain of events that continue to plague our environment. It’s innocent enough to start, but things take a dark turn once their black Corvette becomes a figurative gesture for all the pitfalls of oil consumption. These perils are imagined in claymation, with an animated George Clinton providing the proverbial “straw that broke the camel’s back” towards the end.
