The full lineup for the forthcoming Ray-Ban X Boiler Room 011 event has today been released, with Chet Faker announcing London-based, Melbourne-native DJ, Francis Inferno Orchestra as the final artist to join him at the show in Melbourne on Tuesday November 10.
FIO adds to the impressive mix of innovative music-makers, personally hand picked by headliner Chet Faker, featuring Roland Tings, Marcus Marr, Harvey Sutherland and a DJ set from Chet himself.
A conductor of a new type of ensemble – made up of rich samples from disco’s back catalogue and an array of raw drum machine rhythms - Francis Inferno Orchestra comes at house music from down under with sets joining the dots between soul, disco and the sample based music that inspired him as a teenager.
Presenting house and techno classics alongside rare oddities from beyond his years, FIO’s DJ sets are hailed for being a low-brow history lesson – respecting the past without being a slave to it. He has grown to become a key figure of Melbourne’s always-growing underground dance scene, being invited across the country and further abroad.
The RBxBR series is an RSVP only affair - apply now via Boiler Room to be in with a chance of attending. Those lucky enough to gain access will be notified of the venue 48hrs before the event.
