Lost Picnic Building Audience - Centric Festival Culture

Lost Picnic has found something which has been recently 'lost' in the music industry and its festivals, turning it into its greatest strength. The Australian public have been pleading for more gender diverse lineups (check), artists who are genuine to their craft, for instance, writing their own lyrics (check) hosted in an all-inclusive all-age environment (check). This triple threat of a festival is about to make waves with return to Sydney's Domain on October 13.

The diverse lineup is headlined by the ever-impactful Tash Sultana. Her dedication to true artistry comes from her busking background, and her ever expanding technical ability matched in the wide variety of instruments that she utilizes.

Two other headliners, Meg Mac and Odette, are making their mark on the national youth broadcaster, with their respective singles ‘Low Blows’ coming in at 30 of the Triple J Hottest 100 in 2017 and ‘Watch Me Read You’ placing at #56. Lost Picnic continues the theme of showcasing great songwriters by inviting New Zealand's own Marlon Williams, Aussie indie-folk trio Sons Of The East, Melbourne's now worst kept secret Big Words, as well as the enigmatic big 10-piece brass band Hot Potato. These acts are sure to excite your senses.

To accommodate for all ages, Lost Picnic is providing "face-painting, clowns, old fashioned games like badminton, sack races, tug of war, and even bouncing castles" and that's not to say some of the bigger kids-at-heart can't join in too. Sydney attendees will be treated to food from vendors including The Dolphin, Rocker and Milky Lane.
