Although teased with the news that US pop and RnB singer Khalid would be touring to Canberra this year, this morning it was announced that the 21 year old singer and songwriter will be headlining Spilt Milk’s 2019 line up.
Joining Khalid will be leading voices such as Scotland’s CVURCHES and Chicago’s Juice WRLD. This year, for the first time, the festival expands from its Canberra home to Ballarat in regional Victoria, proving that the capital cities do not havea monopoly of festivals with big name acts.
Flying the local flag at both locations will be laid-back rockers Ocean Alley, synth pop darling Kota Banks and brother-dup Lime Cordiale. Making a return appearance will be electronic producer Golden Features, who joins acts such as Middle Kids, Winston Surfshirt and G Flip.
In addition to this musical madness will be art from Ballarat local Bacondrum and Canberra local Slack. Food comes from the likes of Belles Hot Chicken, Bluebonnet BBQ and Donugs.
In all previous years the festival has sold out in the first 30 minutes of going on sale, so start signing up for pre-sale now. If you miss out on that then get swiping, because Tinder is offering those of us looking for love a chance to match with Spilt Milk.
