Secret Garden 2019
If the reputation of Secret Garden was anything to go by, the final edition of this weekend festival would be weird, wonderful and colourful. Secret Garden 2019 delivered that, and so much more.
With this year’s theme being “last night in paradise” gardeners, as they’ve come to be known, took on all interpretations of this idea, turning the garden into a heaven on earth. Not to be outdone by those in the crowd, the line-up which consisted of local and international talent were similarly attired for the occasion.
As the day rolled into night, the flickering lights of the festival bathed all in fluorescence, and stages transformed from grassy verges to transcendent splendour. Although it may never be heard again, we hope Secret Garden will again return in some form, to whisk Sydneysiders away into the other worlds imagined.
