Smirnoff Infusions Launches at Watson’s Bay

Smirnoff has just launched a brand-new line of low-alcohol, low-calorie drinks, and it’s the summery daytime tipple we’ve all been waiting for.

Smirnoff Infusions is a light, fresh, and delicious rarity, a combo so coveted that Australians far and wide will come flocking to try the new beverages. The newly distilled line is brewed with natural botanicals which gives it an ultra-fresh flavour that even verified vodka haters will find tasty. What’s better? One serve of Smirnoff Infusions has only 40 calories – 60% less than your average glass of white wine. It’s basically a superfood.

The newly distilled line comes in two fresh flavours – Cucumber Lime & Mint, and Passionfruit & Lime. The cucumber and mint contribute a cool and crisp mojito-esque quality, while the passionfruit brings an accessible sweetness that makes it impossible not to love. The lime in each infusion brings a tart freshness, which balances the other ingredients and pairs perfectly with bubbly soda water.

Australian’s are caring more about health and wellbeing every year – hello activewear and yoga – and people are no longer drinking to get drunk. With this, comes a new care and interest in the flavour and overall experience of consumption. The new Infusions line is Smirnoff’s capitalisation on this trend, and the resulting libations are both tasty and light.

If you’re anything like me – i.e. day drinking makes you fall asleep – then this is the drink for you. Whether your plans include a Sunday sesh at the beach, a backyard barbeque, or even a day at the races, Smirnoff Infusions should be your new go-to. There is simply nothing better than a cocktail that neither renders you unconscious nor ruins your Sunday. Retailing for $33 a bottle, Smirnoff Infusions are both accessible and straight-up delicious.

For the next 10 days, Watson’s Bay Boutique Hotel will be serving the new libations at Smirnoff’s pop-up bar – an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the Sydney working week. The bar draws inspiration from the new line itself, resulting in a lush paradise with artfully overgrown foliage and fresh fruit adorning the bar. Pop by for one or stay for the day.

Want to make your own? Smirnoff recommends filling a large wine glass with ice, then topping it up with 30ml Infusions and 90ml of soda water. Garnish with either a cucumber ribbon, lime and mint, or half a passionfruit and a lime wedge or two.
