Just in case you were starting to feel a chill, Café Nome has brought out its new winter menu to warm your soul.
Those breakfast classics that you know and love are being spun by Café Nome’s individual twist, with a fried egg and chorizo roll or roasted kale and mozzarella pesto toast both being served from 8am onwards. Inventive takes on café food from the previous menu have been kept such as the sweet potato bowl and the spicy rostada, however now stand alongside new additions such as roasted eggplant with parsley, feta and pine nuts and a grilled prawn and chilli omelette with a nam jim dressing that’s sure to kick your morning off to a fiery start. If you’re after something sweeter to spark your palette there’s the apple berry crumble with Greek yoghurt.
Unlike previous offerings from this Tempe local, the new menu has a dedicated lunch section with three individual dishes. First is the warming ginger chicken congee, a filling rice broth that satisfies. Next up is the classic steak sandwich with a modern flavour; garnished with parmesan and rocket and dressed with a jalapeno tequila relish. To round out the trio is a prawn fettucine with chilli and cherry tomato which packs a punch.
Along with all of these dishes is coffee from Coffee and Co and a tight but exciting range of juices, smoothies, teas and organic specialty lattes.
If you need a reason to drop back in to the warehouse space that Café Nome occupies or an excuse to head to Tempe for an unconventional café meal, this winter menu gives you the goods.
