Leading Australian Chefs are joining forces for a fundraising dinner in memory of the late Jeremy Strode. The event will be held at ivy ballroom on Tuesday the 27th of March, and will celebrate the life of one of the country’s most loved chefs., with all money raised going to the Strode family.
Jeremy Strode began his life in kitchens at the age of 14, by the age of 24 worked for the famed; Michel Roux at his three-michelin star Waterside Inn at Bray in Berkshire. After moving to Melbourne in 1992, he worked around the traps of Melbourne’s food scene, before taking an opportunity in Sydney in 2002 as he took over MG Garage. With his wife Jane he opened Bistrode in 2005 which one a plethora of awards before he joined forces with Merivale Group in September of 2010, to open Bistrode CBD.
Jeremy was held in the highest regard by his peers, who nicknamed him, “The Truth” for his honest approach to cooking showcased throughout his career, for the classic English fare mixed with classic French flare at Bistrode CBD, or the seasonal sustainable focus of the Fish Shop in Potts Point in 2012.
Hosted by ABC’s Simon Marnie, The Strode Family Dinner will see 14 of Australia’s very best culinary talent collaborate on an impressive feast, prepared by all chefs who are donating their time and expertise in honour of a man they all loved and admired. Take a look at the extremely reputable list.

Tickets for The Strode Family Dinner are $300 each or $3000 for a table of ten. All proceeds raised on the night be given to his wife Jane and their boys to support them with their future.
