Pinot Palooza: Sun Oct 8
The name speaks for itself it’s a celebration of everybody’s favourite Red, Pinot Noir. It’s a wave of the finest Pinot Noirs, this side of the hemisphere, with the festival presenting the silkiest samples they can find. There are a number of sessions that you can choose from celebrating different aspects of the grape. Just mosey around Carriageworks with your glass and sample a bit of everything.
Lost Picnic: Sun Oct 15
It’s a daylong combination of picnic hampers and music. You can chill out on the grass and listen to the likes of Fat Freddy’s Drop, The Australian Symphony Orchestra, Sarah Blasko and many more. In the food department, The Lost Picnic supplies hampers from local restaurants, with the likes of Mamak, Puntino and Churburger providing the goods. For more info check out:
Sydney Beer Week: Oct 20-29
It’s so big that it had to be packed in to a little bit more than a week. With events such as Oyster Pairing, learning to pair with a pale ale, Lock, Stock and barrel Aged Beers. Norton Street Italian Festa: Oct 29
End the month with something a little bit more local. Leichhardt’s long running association as the spiritual home of Italian cuisine in Sydney. Celebrating all things community, all things Leichhardt and all things Italian is the Norton Street Italian Festa. Come down to celebrate.
