Taste of Coogee: 2 - 3 of September
It’s the first weekend of Spring and the Taste of Coogee Food and Wine Festival is back for another year. This year’s festival will run over September 2nd and 3rd where you can catch Mr Bao, Batch Brewing Co, the Shuck Truck, Peterson House Winery and Parilla Argenchino South American BBQ amongst others. There will also be a wine tasting by WineSelectors and plenty of beer and cider to drink.. All the proceeds will go to the Running for Premature Babies Charity. Click the link for more info:
Sunday Sous Chef September: Every Sunday in September
In a rare chance for the Sous Chef to step out in to the limelight, the sous chefs of some of Sydney’s best restaurants are coming together for a series of special dinners. Taking place in the old Marque space on Crown street, chefs from Cirrus, .nel, Fratelli Paradiso and North Bondi Fish will each showcase a 5-course degustation every Sunday in September. Food and Words Writers' Festival 2017: 16th of September
Helping capture how we read and write about food is the Food and Words Writers’ Festival. Returning for its sixth year, the program features a vest of food writers, from academics, specialists, chefs and poets, even food in fiction. Of course all this talking will work up an appetite, and there will be tea from Ovvio Organics, Coffee from Little Marionette, drinks from Lowe Wines, and a picnic lunch by the people of Cornersmith. Mental Notes: 23rd of September
Mental Notes is back for a third year, this time at the newly re-vamped Lansdowne Hotel. The event will bring together wine-makers and enthusiasts. From 12-4pm you’ll be able to sample more than 100 Australian wines and of course there will be food about to help cleanse the palate/soak the booze. You’ll also have the chance to be able to purchase everything you enjoyed throughout the day. So make sure you book your ticket.
Cabramatta Moon Festival 24th of September
At the end of the month the Cabramatta Moon Festival is celebrated, bringing a huge Southeast Asian Culture and Cuisine marketplace to the streets. The Moon festival, celebrated o the equinox will guarantee you gourmet food, street performances and more, from 9am until the fireworks at 8pm.
