The month of March is bountiful for the Sydney Food and Wine lover.  Take a look at some of the events going on around the city this month.

Taste of Sydney 9-12th of March

The Taste of Sydney festival holds one of the most star-studded line-ups in food. There is a stack of Sydney favourites such as Banksii, Efendy, Nel. and Porteno, just to name a few. The festival promises tasty tapas sized treats from each of the restaurants in a festival filled with cooking classes, industry discussions and artisan market shopping experiences. A Moveable Feast: 11th of March

Curated by famed chef Luke Mangan, A Moveable Feast is described as part pop up, part orchestrated picnic, and part beach party. You’ll be served eight dishes inspired by Mangan’s 19 restaurants. Buy your tickets quickly as they are on their thirds and final release. The festival is held on Bondi beach, from 6pm to 11pm, tickets are 165$ per person bought in pairs and wine can be pre-ordered online. For more information

Bairro Português Food & Wine Fair – 12th of March

For something a little bit more localised you can try Sydney’s biggest Portuguese food and culture fair in Petersham. Bairro Português Food & Wine Fair boasts a range of Portuguese delicacies that are accompanied by imported wines, live music and traditional dancing. The event is on the Sunday the 12th of March, Audley and Fisher Streets, Petersham and is free from 10am – 6pm.

March into Merivale – 22nd of March

March into Merivale takes place on the 22nd of March. The event has moved away from the whole month of March into a one night only event. The whole Ivy complex is being transformed into a food oasis with each level staging something different. Tickets are 60$ and the event is from 5:30pm until late, Ivy, 320-330 George Street, Sydney.

Morrisons Crab Carnival - 26th of March – 16th of April

Towards the end of the month the Morrison Bar and Oyster Room is holding is 4th consecutive crab carnival. From the 26th of March – 16th of April everything will be crab themed from the food even down to the signature cocktails.
