Wine Island- Nov 2-4

From November 2 - 4, Clark Island in Sydney harbour will become Wine Island, and with a packed line-up including a Pimms Garden Bar, Gage Roads Brewing Co. Beer Garden and Archie Rose Gin Cocktail Bar you definitely won’t run dry. There will also be masterclasses from the team at Wine Selectors, and a dessert session by 12 Micron’s Ashley Smith. To go with all this, you’ll chill out with a great quality wines for a full day of tasting. Taste of Sydney Collective – Nov 8-11

The Taste of Sydney Collective is bringing 32 of Australia’s best chefs to the Barangaroo precinct, including Sky Gyngell from London eatery Spring, and Sydney’s Clayton Wells alongside Mark Best, Louis Tikaram of E.P & L.P in Los Angeles, Mat Lindsay of Ester and Nelly Robinson of nel. Watch the very best create exciting dishes as you peruse the action with a drink in hand, or make your way through the colourful bustling marketplace for a handpicked selection of the finest Australian grown goods.

Newtown Festival – Nov 11

Newtown Festival turns forty. The brainchild of the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, this is the main-event for the inner west community. Taking over Camperdown Memorial Park on November 11, there will be a collection of over 300 stalls with food, fashion and more. Entry is $5 and if the past 40 years are anything to go by, you know it’ll be a good time.

Cake Bake and Sweets Show - Nov 23-25

Three days of baking events will give you the chance to be tutored by the crème de la crème of celebrity chefs and local baking stars. Pastry chef extraordinaire Anna Polyviou will share her creative dessert skills, alongside Katherine Sabbath and Benny Rivera from New York City Cakes. Although it’s about learning, all those that don’t make the cut won’t go to waste, instead going into your stomach.
