Margot Robbie and Levi’s Team Up for Youngcare

Aussie-born and internationally adored actress Margot Robbie has recently announced a partnership with denim brand Levi’s to support Brisbane-based charity Youngcare. A not-for-profit organisation, Youngcare supports the independence of young people with high care needs through the provision of living spaces, equipment and home modification grants, and a national support phone line. Robbie chose Youngcare to be the recipient of a charitable donation from Levi’s, and used the red carpet premiere of her new film “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood” to promote the Brisbane not-for-profit. According to Vogue, Youngcare CEO Anthony Ryan says “Every donor and supporter, at every level, helps us fulfil our purpose and make an even bigger impact so young people with high-care needs feel at home — and free to participate — in their community”. Iconic brands and fashion icons teaming up to support local charities? We love it.

Marc Jacobs Is the First MTV Fashion Trailblazer

This week, in partnership with The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), MTV has announced that American designer Marc Jacobs will receive the inaugural Fashion Trailblazer award at this year's VMAs. He’s a worthy first recipient, given his ties long-running ties to both the world of music and MTV itself: Jacobs has designed for legendary performers including Lady Gaga, Janelle Monae, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, and Cardi B, and even included the iconic MTV logo in his 80s-inspired Resort ‘17 collection. In addition to receiving the trailblazer award, MTV have announced in a press release that they’ll be working with Jacobs on a multimedia interactive experience “highlighting his creative vision” which will include a photographer and “highly-stylized elements” for social media, which sounds pretty groovy. Make sure to tune in to the VMAs on August 26 to watch it all go down.
