BYO Culture Guide April 8 - 14

This week we celebrate the freedom of expression that comes with art in all different forms. It’s about giving people a voice to share their thoughts, opinions and ideas. This week there are some big ideas being brought forward.

Gaze - A Soft Collective Group Show

Celebrating women in in film photography, this exhibition showcases the unique gaze of 22 photographers from across Australia.

SAMO IS DEAD: the gallery launch

Learn about what it takes to build a new production from a group of young people who have created a new piece of indie theatre from scratch. Showcasing artwork, drawings, photography and live performances, this is a night of celebrating the creation of art.

TWT Block Party

Across the TWT Creative Precinct in St Leonards street art, open studios and workshops will activate this area. Around the theme of Evolve, the night showcases the development of the program over the past six years.

Queer Nu Werk 2019

A section of short performances and fresh development from queer artists. Working against work against homophobia, racism, transphobia, classism and other phobic attitudes, the nights are a result of Performance Space’s Queer Development Program.
