Culture Guide October 1 - 7

Sometimes, keeping a handle on individual artists and events can be just too much. Lucky for us, this week there’s a variety of showcases, which allow audiences to get a taste of what is happening and who to check out, all neatly packaged into one evening. Check out what we’ve rounded up below for a glimpse into Sydney’s world of culture and performance.


This one-night event features over 50 hand-picked artists from Sydney across a range of creative disciplines. Hosted by RAW, a global talent agency with an underground focus, the night will spotlight artists across all disciplines. Celebrate fashion, music, visual art, photography, performing art, hair, makeup and accessories in this pop-up interactive gallery while enjoying performances and a live runway.

Tangents, Anti Guitar Trio and The Museum of Faces

This monthly progressive showcase celebrates experimental and local music. The musicians performing (Tangents and Anti Guitar Trio) will explore a range of genres and blend genres to create beautiful new sounds. There will also be the opening of The Museum of Faces which is a giant audio-visual interactive installation.

YEN by Anna Jordan

Witness the Australian premiere of Yen, which explores the consequences of a childhood lived without boundaries and the consequences of being forced to grow up on your own. This exciting new production by New Ghosts Theatre Company is a must see.

A showcase of some of the most exciting and highly anticipated female comedians, all together under one roof. Hosted by Bec Charlwood, the lineup includes Sian Smyth, Maddie HW, Lizzy Hoo, Kathryn Maelbox Thomas, Robin W Reynolds.
