Sydney Park was covered in picnic blankets. Rockin’ music at the ready, the smell of pulled pork and polenta chips in the air, and not a clean shaven male jawline in sight, it was of course, the Young Henry’s Small World Festival.
In its second year running, the Small World Festival is a celebration of Newtown and all things Inner West. Presented by the folks at Young Henrys, it hosted an array of local talent in the form of music, food and most importantly, booze.
Punters were treated to the sweet sounds of The Church, DZ Deathrays, PVT, All Our Exes Live in Texas and Bon Voyage to name a few. Other treats provided were edible goodies from local favourites Porteno, Marys, Bloodwood, Cornersmith and Black Betty BBQ.
The rain held back, however festival-goers didn’t. A vision in denim, attendees were dancing, drinking and being all around merry. A small world with a big performance, it was a terrific day had. Certainly looking forward to next year’s gig.
