Mailer Daemon presents: Ronin 2 LP

Established super-producer, DJ and MC, Mailer Daemon is a unique genre-defying musical maestro who, with his latest sophomore album offering, has transcended through absolute creative freedom into the path of artistry.

Persian-blooded, American-born, Malaysian-bred and based out of Sydney Australia, Mailer D has continued his craft with his Ronin series album narrative, started as a defiant proclamation of artistic individualism: where Ronin 1 was a rock album with 'organic instrumentation' that predicted and preceded post-modern musical trends as seen in the recent Wu-Tang, Kendrick
Lamar, and Kid Cudi albums, Ronin 2 innovates ahead of the curve again with current 'Post-Trap / Grime' movements.

From collaborations with award-winning Australian author and laureate Omar Musa who provided an exclusive rap verse, to featuring up-and-coming artist Sage throughout the album, Ronin 2 was co-produced by Dread Jensen, with all beats initially fashioned as loops made on a mobile phone.

Heralded as Australia’s very own answer to Kanye West, Mailer Daemon’s alternative Hip Hop, post-Trap, Grime sound hasbeen described as dreamy rap, shoegaze beats, bass punk, trap soul and dream step - but it’s the cohesion album experienceof each of these elements that shines throughout Ronin 2 with undeniable relevance for 2015, bravely leading the cutting
lights of dawning musical trends.

Over the last decade he’s remixed Bag Raiders, The Herd and Killa Queenz, collaborated with The Tongue (Elefant Trax), Thundamentals (Nathan Farrell Entertainment) and P Smurf (Big Village), performed at Splendour In The Grass and supported both Tinie Tempah and Foreign Beggars as well as DJ’d alongside Alison Wonderland, Hayden James and Cassian to name a few.

‘Ronin 2’ will be released worldwide in October 2015 via MGM, including single ‘Let’s See ft. Sage’ with its official music video, alongside live-performance videos for ‘Wish You Well ft. Sage’ and ‘Potency ft. Sage’, as well as instrumentals/remixes and accompanying artist feature video.
