  Parramatta Poetry Slam Shh Centre 4 Hybrid Arts, 6.30pm Head westward this Tuesday for spoken word poetry by Jah Tung, Justina and Sara Saleh, whose works traverse topics and styles. If you fancy yourself a wordsmith, arrive at 6.30 to sign up for the poetry slam. Moneys? $6 entry fee, vegan food and drink available

Artereal Gallery, 74 Darling St, Rozelle, 5.45pm-9pm

Artereal Gallery is providing a platform for up and coming artists in screen-based mediums to exhibit videos this Wednesday, as well as showcasing the current solo exhibitions Mythic Nation, featuring work by George Raftopoulos and, Ultra Violets, featuring work by Laura Skerlj. Refreshments from 5.45 and screenings from 6-8pm.


  Opening: Scoring Patti Smith Affiliated Text at 6pm, 33 Roslyn St, Potts Point, 6-8pm An ode to Patti Smith, Affiiliated Text has curated an exhibition of works inspired by Smith and the culture of punk that she embodied. The exhibition will feature a range of experimental works including but not limited to aural notation, graphic performance, music music, image scripts, eye vocals, and more, and will be open from 10am – 6pm daily from Wednesday 12 November 2015 until Jan 15, 2016.

An ode to Patti Smith, Affiiliated Text has curated an exhibition of works inspired by Smith and the culture of punk that she embodied. The exhibition will feature a range of experimental works including but not limited to aural notation, graphic performance, music music, image scripts, eye vocals, and more, and will be open from 10am – 6pm daily from Wednesday 12 November 2015 until Jan 15, 2016.

tenmoregirls, a collective of Sydney-based jewellery designers is hosting an exhibition of ‘contemporary jewellery and objects’ that explore the theme of absence. The exhibition will run Thursday – Saturday, with opening drinks from 6.30pm on Thursday evening.


  Live at the Sly: Joseph Liddy and The Skeleton Horse SLYFOX, Enmore, doors at 7.30pm, bands at 9 Live at the Sly is back this Thursday, delivering high-energy family vibes from Joseph Liddy and the Skeleton Horse, a band whose composition normally ranges from nine to thirteen performers, two drum kits, and a whole lot of good times. Supporting acts Easy Street and Slow Loris, plus it’s free!
